Web Application for Online & Physical Auctions

Overview

We developed a robust web application for a client in the auction industry, offering a seamless experience for both online and physical auctions. The application allows users to participate in live auctions, place bids, and purchase items, with full support for real-time bidding and payment processing.

Discovery & Planning

The client required an auction platform that could handle both online and physical auctions with real-time bidding, offering flexibility for different auction models. As the project evolved, we identified key requirements like real-time updates, payment integration, and an elegant, user-friendly interface that could work seamlessly across devices.

With the release of Reverb just months before we began development, it became a game-changer, providing key features for live, real-time interactions in auctions. Our choice of Inertia.js allowed us to maintain a smooth, single-page application experience, while TailwindCSS and Shadcn UI delivered a beautifully responsive and mobile-friendly interface.

Design & User Experience

We focused heavily on creating a mobile-first, elegant experience that would appeal to auction participants. By using Shadcn UI components alongside TailwindCSS, we were able to craft a sleek, modern design that adapts effortlessly to all screen sizes, enhancing the mobile user experience.
