Restaurant Booking System with Real-Time Kitchen Ops

Overview

We delivered a seamless restaurant booking experience by building a WordPress website with WooCommerce for handling table reservations, integrated directly with WhatsApp for sending instant booking confirmations to customers.

To enhance internal efficiency, we also built a dedicated Laravel web application using FilamentPHP, designed to stream reservation data in real time to both the kitchen and operations team, reducing communication delays and improving service quality.

Discovery & Planning

The client needed more than a simple reservation system—they wanted:

• A public-facing site for marketing and accepting bookings
• WhatsApp integration to notify users immediately
• A dashboard for the internal team to manage and view reservations live
• Improved communication flow between the front-of-house and kitchen staff

We decided to split the solution into two parts:

1. A user-friendly WordPress + WooCommerce website
2. A lightweight Laravel web app for internal staff, powered by FilamentPHP
